The theme is based on a book called 'The Present' by Spencer Johnson. He wrote "The most valuable present in your life is the present". I used the homonym 'Present' to showcase mywork. As a teenager, my life to me seems very catastrphic and devastating,

but I have found adolescence to be an important stage as I move forward to my future.

 

To fully incorporate my theme in to my work, I bought a gift box that would fit a 4 x 5 large format film to take pinhole pictures. Pinhole camera captures timeless pictures remarkably well because it uses long exposure techniques which gives a sense of time moving within a frozen frame. The little movements taking place in every pictures represent the passing moments of the present.Working on the 'Present' was a small present for myself that I had self-exploring time as an artist.
